Green Stormwater Infrastructure & Water Harvesting

Green stormwater infrastructure (GSI) projects transform stormwater runoff from a nuisance into a valuable resource that mitigates flooding, promotes groundwater recharge, and supports urban landscapes in the Arizona Sonoran arid climate. Pima County and the City of Tucson now require a Water Harvesting Plan prepared by a licensed landscape architect. We specialize in creating these plans and the necessary calculations to support them.

  • The process of developing a Water Harvesting plan is similar to the development of a typical landscape plan but includes a water harvesting element. The water harvest plan arranges passive rainwater harvest basins fed by site collected rainwater within the site landscape. These basins use rainwater to supplement or replace the water supplied by irrigation.
